My sensitivity editing work centers on trauma-informed storytelling. I bring the combined lens of a trauma therapist, religious trauma and cult recovery specialist, and a queer person with lived experience as a lesbian, non-binary, and asexual individual. I help authors create stories that handle trauma, faith, identity, and relationships with care, accuracy, and respect.

I review manuscripts for how trauma and marginalized identities are represented—especially where power, shame, or recovery intersect with religion, queerness, or gender. My feedback goes beyond pointing out potential harm. I explain why certain portrayals may retraumatize or misinform, and I help you write with psychological and cultural truth.

My work includes identifying patterns common in trauma narratives, such as coercion framed as love, purity culture’s influence on intimacy, and the emotional aftereffects of spiritual abuse. I also guide writers through nuanced representation of LGBTQIA+ characters, asexuality, and gender diversity, helping them avoid tokenization and align emotional tone with authenticity.
